WMS Solution Architect​/Technical Lead​/WMS Consultant

Global Logic, part of Hitachi Group, is looking for an experienced WMS Solution Architect / Technical Lead to join a digital transformation project for a leading global FMCG company.

The client operates a complex enterprise technology landscape across retail, supply chain, and warehouse operations, using multiple ERP platforms, including Oracle, Net Suite, and JD Edwards.

The project focuses on modernising enterprise systems and improving integrations between Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP platforms, e-commerce solutions, and third‑party logistics (3PL) providers.

We are looking for a professional who can bridge business strategy and technical execution, drive end‑to‑end solution architecture, and provide technical leadership across complex integration initiatives.

This is primarily an architecture and technical leadership role rather than a hands‑on development position.

• Strong experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) in retail, logistics, supply chain, or FMCG environments.
• Proven background in solution architecture, technical leadership, or techno‑functional consulting.
• Solid understanding of warehouse operations, including inbound/outbound logistics, inventory management, order fulfilment, and warehouse processes.
• Experience designing or leading integrations between WMS and ERP systems, e‑commerce platforms, or 3PL providers.
• Familiarity with enterprise ERP platforms such as Oracle, Net Suite, JD Edwards, SAP, or similar solutions.
• Good understanding of API‑based integrations, middleware, data flows, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Ability to design end‑to‑end integration solutions and translate business requirements into technical architecture.
• Experience guiding development teams, reviewing technical solutions, and supporting architectural decision‑making.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience working with senior business and technical stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of architectural decisions, and collaborate across business and technical teams.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with enterprise WMS platforms such as Blue Yonder/JDA, Manhattan Associates, Oracle WMS, SAP EWM, or Körber.
• Familiarity with event‑driven architecture, asynchronous messaging, and modern integration technologies.
• Understanding of .NET, C#, Azure, or other cloud technologies.
• Experience with AI‑driven solutions, intelligent automation, or supply chain optimisation.
• Experience working on large‑scale ERP/WMS integration or digital transformation programmes.
• Background in retail, FMCG, logistics, or third‑party warehouse operations.

Lead end‑to‑end solution architecture for WMS, ERP, e‑commerce, and 3PL integrations across complex enterprise environments.

Analyse existing warehouse management processes, integration challenges, and business requirements to define scalable technical solutions.

Design integration architecture, including APIs, middleware, data flows, and event‑driven integration patterns.

Translate business requirements into high‑level solution designs, technical specifications, and architectural recommendations.

Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to development and integration teams.

Collaborate with senior business stakeholders to understand operational challenges, identify improvement opportunities, and propose effective solutions.

Coordinate with developers, architects, business analysts, and external technology providers to ensure successful solution delivery.

Review technical designs and ensure alignment with business objectives, integration standards, and architectural best practices.
