Location: Greater London
Data Engineer – Active SC, Talend, PDI £475 per day – Inside IR35 West Midlands – 2 days a week on site 6 months We are seeking an experienced a SC Cleared Data Engineer to provide live support across a complex data environment, supporting multiple services and ensuring the ongoing stability, monitoring, and optimisation of critical platforms.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting live services, improving monitoring capabilities, and implementing effective alerting solutions across the estate.
Key Skills & Responsibilities- Proven commercial experience working as a Data Engineer within Public Sector environments.
- Active SC Clearance.
- Provide live service support across data platforms and integration technologies.
- Support and maintain environments utilising:
Denodo, Talend, Pentaho Data Integration (PDI), Git, MySQL and Amazon Redshift. - Design, create, and consolidate Grafana dashboards across multiple services.
- Develop a centralised live service view, enabling drill-down capability by individual service.
- Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate these into monitoring and alerting solutions.
- Configure and implement monitoring and alerting for legacy services that currently lack observability tooling.
- Investigate and resolve production support issues.
- Collaborate with technical and operational teams to improve service reliability and performance.
