Junior Security Engineer - SC Cleared
Inside IR35 | £475-£525 p/d
Remote
We are looking for multiple Junior Security Engineer to support cybersecurity remediation and security improvement initiatives across government and public sector environments.
This is a hands-on engineering role focused on implementing security controls, resolving vulnerabilities and strengthening cyber resilience across Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and configure security solutions using Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Purview, Entra Intune
. - Deliver hands-on technical security remediation across Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
- Configure and improve Identity and Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), MFA and Conditional Access controls.
- Implement Zero Trust security measures, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), endpoint protection and threat detection capabilities.
- Develop and optimise security monitoring, alerting and automated detection using Microsoft Sentinel and KQL
. - Ensure technical solutions align with NCSC guidance, Secure by Design principles and government security standards
.
- Active SC clearance
- Strong hands-on experience implementing and supporting Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Purview and Entra .
- Proven experience configuring and securing Azure and Microsoft 365 environments
. - Strong understanding of IAM, PAM, Zero Trust, DLP, cloud security and security operations
. - Experience developing detection rules, investigating security events and working with KQL
.
