Responsibilities

As a Domestic Loss Adjuster, you will:

  • Manage a caseload of domestic property damage claims across London
  • Visit customers at their homes to assess damage
  • Coordinate visit schedules with contractors
  • Compile comprehensive reports and settle each claim

You’ll step into people’s lives during some of their most unsettling moments: a burst pipe that flooded the kitchen, a fire that scorched the living room, or trees fallen through the roof from storm damage. You’ll be the calming presence amidst the chaos.

Qualifications
  • A full UK Driving Licence – essential for travel by car
  • Insurance knowledge – understanding of how a home insurance policy operates and basic makeup of a domestic property
  • Excellent communication skills – speak with and write to policyholders, insurers, contractors, and more, explaining complex details clearly and negotiating fair settlements
  • Problem‑solving abilities – identify and solve problems efficiently
  • Time management – plan your week, manage time, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines; handle multiple claims simultaneously
Desired but not vital
  • Experience with Apple software such as iPads, or other tablets
Professional Development
  • Comprehensive Sedgwick training to excel in your role
  • Support to work towards Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters' Cert CILA qualification
