As a Domestic Loss Adjuster, you will:
- Manage a caseload of domestic property damage claims across London
- Visit customers at their homes to assess damage
- Coordinate visit schedules with contractors
- Compile comprehensive reports and settle each claim
You’ll step into people’s lives during some of their most unsettling moments: a burst pipe that flooded the kitchen, a fire that scorched the living room, or trees fallen through the roof from storm damage. You’ll be the calming presence amidst the chaos.
Qualifications- A full UK Driving Licence – essential for travel by car
- Insurance knowledge – understanding of how a home insurance policy operates and basic makeup of a domestic property
- Excellent communication skills – speak with and write to policyholders, insurers, contractors, and more, explaining complex details clearly and negotiating fair settlements
- Problem‑solving abilities – identify and solve problems efficiently
- Time management – plan your week, manage time, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines; handle multiple claims simultaneously
- Experience with Apple software such as iPads, or other tablets
- Comprehensive Sedgwick training to excel in your role
- Support to work towards Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters' Cert CILA qualification
