The Lincoln operation is headed by one of the region’s best-known insurance professionals, a former Regional MD of a global broker.

The Lincoln office is earmarked to be a Regional Broking Hub for the group, and due to the continued acquisition of quality accounts, the need has arisen to appoint either a Senior Account Handler or Commercial Team Leader to join the office in a senior capacity. As this is a new position within the company, the finer points of the role can be tweaked to suit your skills, experience and ambitions.

However, it is envisioned that you will be personally responsible for handling clients from a range of industry sectors such as construction, manufacturing and engineering, typically paying in excess of £50K GWP, and often with premium spends well over £100K. In addition, you will be responsible for helping with the training and development of Apprentices and less-experienced Account Handlers. We welcome applications from candidates who are happy to help oversee junior colleagues on an ad-hoc basis, as well as those who wish to join as a Team Leader and be responsible for junior colleagues on a more formal basis;

allocating workloads, coaching & mentoring, and conducting 1-2-1’s. It is essential that you have a good understanding of all common commercial covers and are comfortable dealing with clients from a variety of sectors, both blue and white collar. You must also have excellent communication, task-management and organisational skills. You should also have a genuine passion for delivering client service and pride yourself on being a team player who enjoys working to shared goals and objectives.
