Property Facultative Underwriter

We are looking for a Property Facultative Underwriter to join our underwriting team and play a key role in expanding our Property and Facultative Engineering portfolio.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing, entrepreneurial business with ambitious growth plans, operating in a dynamic and international market. The role offers direct exposure to underwriting strategy, portfolio development, and broker engagement, working alongside experienced professionals within the Lloyd’s and wider London Market.

• A proactive and responsible underwriting professional with 5-7 years’ experience in Property Facultative business.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships across diverse cultures and international markets.
• Highly analytical, with strong numerical aptitude and confidence in reviewing underwriting data, submissions, and technical documentation.
• Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment while also managing workload independently, maintaining organisation, meeting deadlines, and performing under pressure.
• Proficiency in an additional language will be considered an advantage.
• Established relationships with London Market reinsurance brokers or other international markets will be viewed favourably.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to operate in a global business environment, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness to international demands.

• ACII or equivalent qualification (or working towards it) preferred.
• Strong analytical and technical underwriting skills, with experience in pricing models and exposure analysis.
• Ability to manage broker relationships
• Experience working within Lloyd’s or the London Market is advantageous.
• High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
