Retail Insurance Broker

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of retail clients, acting as their primary point of contact
• Advise clients on risk exposures and appropriate insurance solutions
• Place risks into the London Market, negotiating terms with insurers and underwriters
• Handle renewals, new business, and mid-term adjustments efficiently and accurately
• Prepare presentations, market submissions, and insurance documentation
• Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers, underwriters, and internal stakeholders
• Ensure all activity complies with FCA regulation and internal compliance standards
• Identify opportunities to grow and develop client accounts through cross‑selling and upselling

• Experience working as a Retail Broker or Client Executive within the London Market
• Strong understanding of commercial insurance products and placement processes
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver high service standards
• Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills
• Well‑organised, detail‑focused, and commercially minded
• Familiarity with FCA regulatory requirements
• Progress toward or completion of professional insurance qualifications (e.g. CII) preferred
