Insurance Specialist

We're seeking a technically proficient Insurance Account Handler to join a fun lively Mayfair-based insurance brokerage. This role offers the opportunity to manage a prestigious portfolio of established clients within an environment that values expertise, discretion, and exceptional service delivery.

You’ll be working with sophisticated commercial risks and high-net-worth portfolios in one of London's most prestigious locations, where attention to detail and client relationships are paramount.

As Insurance Account Handler, you'll take ownership of a refined client portfolio, acting as their trusted adviser across all aspects of their insurance arrangements. This is a relationship-driven role requiring both technical excellence and the ability to operate with complete autonomy.

You’ll manage the full renewal cycle, engage directly with leading insurers and underwriters, and ensure every client receives the bespoke, white‑glove service expected within a Mayfair practice.

• Take complete ownership of an established client portfolio, managing relationships with discretion and professionalism
• Lead renewal negotiations independently, including market positioning, placement strategy, and terms negotiation
• Provide expert technical guidance on coverage structures, policy wordings, and risk management considerations
• Cultivate long‑term client partnerships through a consultative, solutions‑focused approach
• Liaise confidently with insurers and underwriters to secure optimal terms and competitive arrangements
• Identify organic growth opportunities through portfolio development and strategic cross‑selling
• Maintain impeccable FCA compliance standards, documentation accuracy, and administrative excellence
• Collaborate seamlessly with internal teams to deliver a premium client experience
• Minimum 3 years' experience in insurance broking or account handling
• CII qualified (Cert CII or above)
• Demonstrable experience managing your own client portfolio with full autonomy
• Strong technical knowledge across commercial insurance products
• Confident, articulate communicator with clients, insurers, and underwriters at all levels
• Highly organised with the ability to manage complex, concurrent renewals
• Commercially astute with a proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset
