Job Description:

The Major Accounts Division of Chubb in the UKI focuses on complex and risk managed Insureds, with an annual turnover in excess of $500m. The division has seen sizeable growth and continued strong profitability over a number of years.

To set, implement and achieve underwriting profit goals in Property Major Risks according to the business plan. To ensure underwriting integrity through appropriate deployment of capacity while working within Chubb’s underwriting guidelines and controls.

• Underwrite new business or renewals according to defined underwriting guidelines, specified budget and local business plan.
• Assist in formulating underwriting strategy, forecasts and portfolio management to achieve underwriting profitability.
• Prioritise and develop products within area of specialist expertise to improve client retention and new business.
• Represent and promote Chubb corporately to brokers, internal and external clients domestically and overseas.
• Meet company standards in respect of policy documentation, timeframe for quoting new and renewal business and compliance issues.
• Work within the framework of Chubb ethical and service standards.

• Comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of multinational property underwriting and the insurance market.
• Solid experience of dealing with brokers and clients.
• Results driven with ability to make own decisions and work on own initiative.
• Experience of leadership, training, mentoring and people development is desired.
• Expected to have ACII qualification with considerable market experience.
