As our Underwriting Excellence Lead, you’ll be the architect of quality and strategy within our underwriting team. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how we protect small businesses, ensuring that every decision we make is sound, fair, and contributes to the long-term success of our customers.

** As one of our Underwriting Excellence Lead’s, you’ll:
*** Develop and implement forward-thinking strategies to refine our underwriting processes and elevate the quality of every decision.
* Support the leadership and motivation of a dedicated team of underwriters, acting as a mentor to help them grow and succeed.
* Maintain and evolve our underwriting guidelines and procedures, ensuring we always meet regulatory and compliance standards.
* Collaborate with our capacity providers to provide assurance of high-quality underwriting and build strong, professional relationships.
* Monitor claims performance and take ownership of the product value process to ensure our business remains resilient.
* Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring industry trends and regulatory changes to keep our practices modern and effective.#
** We’re looking for someone who is:
*** An experienced underwriting professional with a deep, senior-level understanding of underwriting principles and market practices.
* A degree-qualified thinker who can balance technical expertise with a practical, common-sense approach.
* A natural leader and communicator who is passionate about sharing knowledge and empowering others.
* Analytical and a problem-solver at heart, with the ability to look at complex data and find clear, simple solutions.
* Proactive and collaborative, comfortable working independently but always keeping the wider team’s goals in mind.
