This role contributes to AXIS’ success by maintaining and promoting a market‑leading claims service to support clients’ complex risks, supporting retention and acquisition of business.

• Handle personal injury and property damage claims in a general liability and medical malpractice capacity, and other liability/PI classes for commercial clients in the non‑US Professional Lines Division.
• Work closely with clients, market leaders, brokers, TPA service providers and external legal advisors to ensure premier claims service.
• Lead claims from first advice to final settlement, including coverage and liability analysis, reserve evaluations, resolution strategy and liaison with risk managers, in‑house counsel and experts.
• Handle Lloyd’s Syndicate, IUA and company claims.
• Liaise with underwriters on wording/policy issues, provide claims information and attend client meetings as appropriate.

• Experience with personal injury and/or medical malpractice claims in a claims lead or legal advisory capacity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to articulate in meetings.
• Ability to develop and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritise and organise workload.
• Ability to exercise sound judgement.

• Experience working in a syndicate, company or broker with practical exposure to market duties.
• Knowledge of CLASS/ECF

• Proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Legal or professional qualification such as ACII.

Typical office requirement: 3 days per week.
