Job Description How does this role contribute to our collective success?This role contributes to AXIS’ success by maintaining and promoting a market‑leading claims service to support clients’ complex risks, supporting retention and acquisition of business.
What will you do in this role?- Handle personal injury and property damage claims in a general liability and medical malpractice capacity, and other liability/PI classes for commercial clients in the non‑US Professional Lines Division.
- Work closely with clients, market leaders, brokers, TPA service providers and external legal advisors to ensure premier claims service.
- Lead claims from first advice to final settlement, including coverage and liability analysis, reserve evaluations, resolution strategy and liaison with risk managers, in‑house counsel and experts.
- Handle Lloyd’s Syndicate, IUA and company claims.
- Liaise with underwriters on wording/policy issues, provide claims information and attend client meetings as appropriate.

What you need to have- Experience with personal injury and/or medical malpractice claims in a claims lead or legal advisory capacity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to articulate in meetings.
- Ability to develop and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritise and organise workload.
- Ability to exercise sound judgement.
- Experience working in a syndicate, company or broker with practical exposure to market duties.
- Knowledge of CLASS/ECF
2. - Proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Legal or professional qualification such as ACII.
Typical office requirement: 3 days per week.
