Assistant Underwriter - Property Binders - London - Permanent
I’m supporting a leading Lloyd’s market carrier with the hire of an Assistant Underwriter within their established Property Binders team.
This is an opportunity to join a genuinely market-leading platform, sitting within a well-structured Delegated Authority Practice where underwriting, governance and management operate as a centre of excellence.
You’ll gain exposure to a broad spread of Property risks, supporting the continued build-out of an International binder portfolio, working alongside highly experienced senior leadership.
Responsibilities- Supporting delivery of the annual underwriting business plan
- Contributing to strategy discussions and portfolio development
- Maintaining and developing broker and partner relationships
- Portfolio analysis and performance review
- Processing risks accurately onto underwriting systems
- Ensuring adherence to underwriting standards and regulatory requirements
- Has experience within Property binders or P&C (or closely relating lines) delegated authority
- Understands market cycles and portfolio performance dynamics
- Is analytically strong and comfortable working with data
- Can build relationships internally and externally
- Is looking to step into a platform where development and mentorship are genuine
