Role Description

This part-time, on-site Insurance Technician role is based in London. The role is principally the technical processing of a wide variety of classes of business. It may also involve assisting with the general development of Technical documentation and processes and ensuring they conform to specific requirements including the processing of claims on ECF.

Candidate should have previous experience working within a Lloyd’s Broker and be familiar with the Technical processes and documentation of both Lloyd’s and Company markets. Candidates will require good computer skills including being fully conversant with Microsoft Word and a good understanding and confident use of Excel spreadsheets.

Knowledge and Experience Required
  • Relevant experience within the Insurance Broking Market.
  • Good understanding and knowledge of insurance Technical processing.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail for reviewing and ensuring compliance of documentation.
  • Familiarity with the different types of bordereaux and associated requirements.
  • Experience of dealing with Lloyd’s and underwriters’ delegated authority teams.
  • Knowledge of relevant Lloyd’s and international regulatory requirements.
  • Cover holder applications from start to approval, annual compliance and attestation processes.
  • Good knowledge of DCOM, Atlas and all relevant Xchanging processes.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with clients and insurers.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and insurance industry standards is an asset.
  • Proficiency in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work autonomously, meet deadlines, and prioritise tasks effectively.
