At LCP the work we do involves assessing the risks associated with uncertain future events. We help clients better understand and quantify these uncertainties, thereby supporting them to mitigate these risks. As a Summer Intern in the Insurance Consulting department specifically, you'll get an insight into the work we do advising general insurance companies on reserving and financial risk management, building models to calculate capital requirements, and helping insurance companies meet the Solvency UK /Solvency II regulatory requirements.

You will also have the opportunity to support the development of our analytics tools, using R and Python, including our multi-award-winning reserving platform Insur Sight.

An internship with us will give you real insight into how we communicate our analysis to our clients in a way that’s simple, clear, and easy to understand. You will have the opportunity to get involved in real client projects, giving you a deep insight into what a career in insurance consulting could look like.

• Studying for a Degree in any subject and on track to achieve a 2:1
• An interest in insurance and awareness of topical issues
• Problem solving, numeracy and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills and evidence of coding ability and presentation skills
