The RoleCapco is seeking a highly experienced Programme Manager to join our Insurance practice in London. You will lead complex transformation programmes across Life & Pensions, General Insurance, and Commercial & Specialty Insurance, working with leading insurers to deliver strategic, regulatory, operational, and technology change.
Operating at the intersection of business and technology, you will oversee multi-workstream initiatives such as core platform modernisation, digital underwriting and claims transformation, regulatory implementation, and post-merger integration. Your insurance domain expertise will enable you to challenge assumptions, guide strategic decisions, and deliver measurable outcomes in highly regulated environments.
What You’ll Do- Lead delivery of complex, multi-workstream transformation programmes across insurance organisations, spanning business, operations, and technology change
- Manage programme governance, budgets, delivery roadmaps, RAID management, and executive stakeholder communications
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including project managers, business analysts, architects, and SMEs across underwriting, claims, policy administration, and distribution
- Partner with senior client stakeholders to shape programme strategy, define delivery approaches, and resolve complex delivery challenges
- Contribute to business development through proposal development, account growth, and thought leadership across the insurance market
- Significant experience leading large-scale transformation programmes within Insurance (General Insurance, Life & Pensions, or Commercial & Specialty)
- Strong understanding of core insurance operations including underwriting, claims, policy administration, and distribution
- Experience delivering digital, regulatory, or platform-led transformation programmes within regulated environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence senior leadership and navigate matrix organisations
- Experience delivering core insurance platform transformation (e.g. Guidewire or policy administration modernisation)
- Exposure to regulatory initiatives such as IFRS
17, Consumer Duty, or other regulatory-driven programmes - Experience leading post-merger integration or operating model transformation within insurance
- Knowledge of Agile delivery frameworks combined with traditional programme governance approaches
- Professional certifications such as MSP, PRINCE2, or PMP
