Experteer Overview In this Property Analyst role at Munich Re Specialty - Global Markets in London, you will drive analytics and performance monitoring for the property portfolio to enable data-driven pricing, claims and risk decisions. You will work closely with underwriting, pricing, claims and exposure teams to develop automated tools and MI reporting that support portfolio management and regulatory reporting. Your analytical mindset and strong communication will advance data capture, analysis and forecasting within a collaborative, market-facing environment.
This is an opportunity to shape underwriting effectiveness through post-event analytics and cross-functional collaboration.
- Lead analytical output for the Property portfolio to inform strategic decisions
- Manipulate large, complex datasets to derive performance metrics and support portfolio analysis
- Collaborate with underwriting, pricing, claims and exposure teams to develop automated monitoring tools
- Prepare standard/ad-hoc MI reports and KPIs, including Syndicate planning and regulatory reporting
- Analyze pricing models and exposure data to support risk quantification and new business initiatives
- Participate in projects delivering innovative analytical solutions for underwriting effectiveness
- Build relationships with Coverholders, Brokers and internal teams to strengthen collaboration
- Engage with Lloyd s and the wider market to stay informed on market developments
- Contribute to team meetings and external stakeholder interactions in a collaborative environment
- Support conduct and governance processes, aligning with product conduct risk initiatives
- Analytical mindset with ability to manipulate datasets in Excel/PowerBI and derive KPIs
- Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge
- Knowledge of actuarial methods and techniques for business judgements
- Understanding of modelling techniques for pricing, exposure and claims management
- High diligence and accuracy
- Knowledge of insurance and reinsurance principles
- Current Lloyd s market knowledge
- Ability to manage workload and collaborate effectively
