The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Insurance Account Handler to join a growing and successful brokerage. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial clients, providing professional support across renewals, new business, mid-term adjustments, and day-to-day account management. This position would suit an organised and customer-focused insurance professional who enjoys building relationships, delivering excellent service, and supporting clients with their insurance requirements.

Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of commercial insurance clients across a range of sectors. Handle policy renewals, mid-term adjustments, endorsements, and general administration. Support new business enquiries and identify opportunities to grow existing accounts. Liaise with insurers to obtain quotations and negotiate terms where required. Respond to client queries promptly and professionally. Maintain accurate client records and policy documentation. Assist clients with claims enquiries and provide ongoing support throughout the process.

Review existing cover arrangements and identify areas for improvement. Ensure all activities are carried out in line with FCA regulations, GDPR requirements, and company procedures. Skills & Experience Previous experience within Commercial Insurance, either in an Account Handler, Account Executive support, or Broker role. Good understanding of commercial insurance products, such as Property, Liability, Motor Fleet, Professional Indemnity, Commercial Combined, or SME insurance.

Ability to interpret policy wordings and explain cover clearly to clients. Strong customer service and relationship management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks effectively. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Team player with a proactive and professional approach. IT Skills Competent user of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Experience using insurance broking systems and insurer portals. Accurate data entry and record-keeping skills. Comfortable working with multiple systems and online platforms.
