We are recruiting for a Senior Claims Adjuster
-Casualty
, on behalf of an extremely well-regarded London Market Insurer.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluating and processing claims estimates and paid claims values accurately and in atimely manner.
- Investigating and resolving complex claims of a specialist nature, providing excellent service with minimal leakage.
- Managing estimates and billings calculated by clients and brokers, resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Identifying and addressing coverage issues to ensure company liability aligns with contractual commitments.
- Pursuingsubrogation, contribution, and other recovery opportunities.
- Producing regular statistical and analytical claims information for effective monitoring and decision-making.
- Actingas a referral point for other team members, providing guidance and supporton specific tasks or complex claims.
Key Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of technical claims handling in a group claims function within a regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of delegated and third-party claims management from technical, commercial, and operational perspectives.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build constructive relationships across teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability toproduce detailed reports and management information.
- Strong problem-solving, investigative, and negotiation skills, with acustomer-oriented approach.
- Proven track record in managing complex and disputed claims matters, providing expert guidance and opinion.
- Recognised qualifications and/or practical knowledge of the insurance regulatory framework.
