Upstream Energy Account Executive

Lawes Consulting Group is working with a leading international specialty insurance broker seeking an experienced Account Executive to join its established Upstream Energy division.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious insurance professional to work within a specialist team, supporting the placement and servicing of complex international energy risks across the London and Lloyd's insurance markets.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior brokers, underwriters and international stakeholders, managing a portfolio of upstream energy accounts while supporting new business and renewal activity.

• Manage the day-to-day servicing of a portfolio of international Upstream Energy accounts.
• Support brokers throughout the placement process, including new business, renewals and mid-term adjustments.
• Prepare and review Market Reform Contracts (MRCs), slips, endorsements, policy wordings and underwriting submissions.
• Liaise with London Market and Lloyd's underwriters to secure appropriate coverage and competitive terms.
• Analyse risk information, exposure data and insurance requirements to support effective placement strategies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with producing brokers, clients, underwriters and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate premium processing, documentation and contract certainty requirements.
• Ensure all account activity complies with FCA regulations and internal procedures.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across broking, technical, claims and operations teams.

• Previous experience within a London Market insurance broking environment.
• Knowledge of Upstream Energy insurance, ideally including Exploration & Production (E&P), Offshore Energy or associated operational risks.
• Experience preparing MRC slips, endorsements and insurance documentation.
• Good understanding of Lloyd's and London Market placement processes.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and relationship-management skills.
• High attention to detail and a proactive approach to client servicing.
• Confidence working with complex international insurance programmes.
