AboutThe Role
As an IBA Technician, you’ll play a key role within our Insurance Broking Accounts function, managing your own portfolio while supporting a range of accounting and reconciliation activities. You’ll work closely with colleagues, brokers, insurers and clients, helping to ensure accurate financial processes while maintaining high service standards.
What you’ll be doing- Managing a portfolio of broker and insurer accounts, ensuring key activities are completed accurately and on time.
- Supporting areas such as credit control, cash allocation and insurer reconciliations/bordereaux processing.
- Acting as a go‑to contact for IBA queries, providing guidance and support across the business.
- Assisting with escalations when required.
- Supporting projects, business integrations and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Building strong relationships with internal teams, clients and insurer partners while delivering against agreed service levels.
You’ll bring strong IBA or insurance finance experience, a collaborative mindset and the confidence to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Proven experience within a finance shared service environment, ideally within the insurance sector.
- Good understanding of Insurance Broking Accounts (IBA) processes and best practice.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and financial systems.
- Proactive approach to problem‑solving and managing workloads independently.
- Knowledge of insurance regulations and compliance requirements would be advantageous.
