Pricing Actuary - nearly​/newly qualified

This is an excellent opportunity for an actuarial professional looking to take the next step in their career, working closely with underwriters and senior stakeholders to influence pricing strategy across a broad casualty portfolio. The role offers a blend of technical modelling, portfolio analytics and commercial engagement, making it ideal for someone keen to develop both their actuarial and business-facing skills.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Delivering pricing and profitability analysis across casualty classes
• Supporting the development, enhancement and calibration of pricing models and tools
• Monitoring portfolio performance and identifying opportunities for profitable growth
• Working closely with underwriting teams to provide pricing insight and challenge
• Contributing to rate change analysis, business planning and performance reporting
• Supporting pricing governance, validation and model documentation activities
• Collaborating with actuarial, exposure management and finance teams on cross-functional initiatives

We are keen to speak with candidates who have:

• Experience with in general insurance pricing
  , ideally with exposure to casualty business
• Strong analytical and modelling capabilities
• Progression towards actuarial qualification, or recent qualification
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with underwriters and senior stakeholders
• Experience working with large datasets and actuarial modelling tools
• A commercial mindset and an interest in understanding the drivers of portfolio performance
