About the role

Global Voices is seeking an experienced British Sign Language (BSL) Interpreter on a full-time permanent basis for a 10 month contract or consultancy basis.

You will provide professional accurate and impartial BSL interpreting across a range of client settings including meetings interviews training conferences and other professional environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality BSL spoken English interpreting.
• Support effective communication between Deaf and hearing individuals.
• Prepare for assignments and manage relevant terminology.
• Maintain confidentiality impartiality and professional standards.
• Build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Manage a varied workload with excellent organisation and reliability.
• Maintain ongoing professional development.

Who are we looking for

• Recognised qualification in BSL interpreting.
• Proven professional interpreting experience.
• Excellent BSL and spoken English skills.
• Strong communication interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Professional reliable and able to work independently.
