Housing Paralegal - London Bridge - 18 month FTC
A new opportunity has arisen to join our Housing team as a Paralegal, supporting fee-earners in housing litigation matters. Based at our London Bridge office, this role will involve providing crucial legal and administrative assistance on a variety of housing-related cases.
The RolePlease be aware this is a 18 month Fixed Term Contract, starting in January/February 2026
As a Paralegal, your role will include, but not be limited to, the following tasks:
- Assisting partners and solicitors with housing litigation, particularly cases focused on repairs.
- Conducting client interviews and preparing statements.
- Managing casework and providing legal advice to clients under supervision.
- Handling new client enquiries efficiently and professionally.
- Drafting legal documents, correspondence, and reports in plain English.
- Supervising and delegating tasks where appropriate.
- Supporting the provision of legal advice under supervision and as requested.
- Collaborating effectively within the team and with other departments under the guidance of a Partner.
- Maintaining high standards of client care as outlined in the firm’s terms of business.
- Managing all written and telephone communication with clients, third parties, and other solicitors, with the utmost professionalism and confidentiality.
- Keeping current with legal developments, particularly in housing law, and continuing your professional development.
- Understanding and complying with relevant conduct rules and regulatory standards.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral.
- Strong customer focus and an ability to build client relationships.
- A proactive, flexible attitude with a 'can-do' approach to challenges.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.
- The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- An eye for detail and a solution-focused mindset.
- A law degree or equivalent experience in a similar legal role.
