Hunters Legal is working with a Global Law Firm in their search for a Corporate Tax Senior Associate to join its London-based Tax & Incentives team. The role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-quality UK and international tax matters across a wide range of sectors, alongside leading partners and lawyers across the firm.

The successful candidate will provide strategic corporate tax advice to clients across the firm’s practice areas and will play a key role in supporting major transactions, structuring projects and advisory work.

Working closely with partners, senior associates and associates to deliver corporate tax advice, primarily to clients of other practice areas, as well as clients instructing the tax team directly.

Advising listed and unlisted clients across a broad range of sectors, with particular strength in technology and life sciences, IP-rich businesses, real estate investment and development including REITs, and private capital-backed organisations such as private equity houses and family offices.

Collaborating regularly with lawyers in the corporate, real estate, finance, IP, IT and private client teams, with scope to develop particular sector or technical specialisms in line with business needs.

• M&A transactions and structuring.
• Private equity transactions and investment structures.
• Corporate and IP/IT structuring, including cross-border planning and UK inward investment.
• Fund structures and investment vehicles.
• Financing and refinancing transactions.
• Domestic and international tax advisory work.
• Real estate transactions and structuring from both direct and indirect tax perspectives.
• Supporting and contributing to business development initiatives across the tax team and the wider firm.
• Assisting with the development and delivery of internal and client-facing training programmes.

• UK-qualified solicitor or barrister.
• Strong experience advising on UK corporate tax matters within a transactional environment.
• Experience across some or all of M&A, private equity, structuring, real estate and cross-border tax matters.
• Strong technical ability with a practical and commercial approach to tax advice.
• Excellent client management, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters effectively.
