Real Estate Associate | International Law Firm | City of London

An opportunity has arisen for a junior Real Estate Associate to join the London office of a leading City‑led, international law firm with a top‑tier reputation in the real estate sector. This is an excellent platform for a junior real estate lawyer looking to build a long‑term career within a highly ranked, full‑service Real Estate practice advising on some of the most significant investment and development projects in the UK and internationally.

The firm operates across the UK and internationally, with a strong presence in the Middle East and Asia, and is consistently recognised for the depth and breadth of its Real Estate offering. Real estate sits at the heart of the firm's strategy, with a substantial proportion of its lawyers advising across investment, development, finance, and asset management.

The London Real Estate team is ranked among the UK's leading real estate practices and is known for its collaborative culture, strong client relationships and commitment to responsible, sustainable growth, underpinned by a genuine focus on ESG principles.

This role offers exposure to a broad range of commercial property work, acting for domestic and overseas investors, developers, occupiers, lenders and public sector bodies. The team advises on all major asset classes and regularly supports complex, multi‑jurisdictional matters.

As part of a national real estate team, you will also have the opportunity to work with colleagues across other UK offices and collaborate with specialists in sectors such as living, build‑to‑rent, student accommodation and senior living.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advising on investment property acquisitions and disposals, including due diligence
  • Landlord‑side asset management
  • Acting for occupiers on new leases and ongoing lease management
  • Supporting developers on site assembly, acquisitions and development projects
  • Advising borrowers and lenders, including Certificates of Title and property‑related conditions precedent
  • Managing your own matters with appropriate supervision

Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Contributing to business development and marketing initiatives
  • Ensuring matters are managed in line with regulatory and quality standards
  • Participating in training and professional development initiatives

This role will suit a junior real estate lawyer between NQ and 3 PQE who is keen to develop technically while taking on increasing responsibility.

You are likely to demonstrate
  • Strong grounding in commercial real estate matters
  • The ability to manage transactions and priorities effectively
  • A commercial, client‑focused mindset
  • Interest in business development and client relationship management
  • Confidence using (and adapting to) legal technology
  • Excellent communication skills and professional credibility
  • Drive, enthusiasm and a proactive, can‑do approach
  • A strong academic background

The firm offers a clearly defined, merit‑based career development framework, providing transparency around progression and expectations from Associate level onwards. Lawyers are supported to take ownership of their development, with access to high‑quality training, early responsibility and meaningful client exposure.

The firm is genuinely committed to equity, diversity and inclusion, and prides itself on offering an environment where talented lawyers can thrive and progress on merit.

This is a standout opportunity for an ambitious junior real estate lawyer seeking high‑quality work, structured progression and long‑term career prospects within a market‑leading Real Estate practice in London.
