A busy and well-regarded council based in London is seeking an experienced Childcare & Adult Paralegal to join their legal team on a 3-month temporary contract. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive local authority environment, handling meaningful and impactful work.
The RoleYou will support the Childcare and Adult Social Care legal team, assisting with a varied caseload and providing high-quality legal and administrative support.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with care proceedings and adult social care matters
- Preparing court bundles and legal documentation
- Drafting correspondence and legal documents
- Liaising with counsel, social workers, clients, and external agencies
- Diary management
- Previous experience working as a Paralegal within Childcare and/or Adult Social Care law (essential)
- Experience with in a local authority childcare and/or adults’ legal team
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation and court processes
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage a busy caseload in a fast-paced environment
- Must be immediately available
- 3-month temporary contract
- £18-25 per hour
- Hybrid working options- 2 days per week in the office
