Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Financial Crime
A London-based opportunity has arisen within the Insolvency & Dispute Resolution team of a globally recognised offshore law firm, advising on BVI and Cayman law matters from London.
The role sits within a specialist offshore disputes platform handling complex, high-value and frequently multi-jurisdictional matters across financial services, trusts and corporate structures. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced offshore litigators on sophisticated cross-border mandates.
The practice covers:
- Trust disputes involving trustees, protectors and beneficiaries
- Investment fund and shareholder disputes
- Contentious and non-contentious corporate recovery and insolvency matters
- Company and partnership disputes
- Multi-jurisdictional commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution
- Injunctions, disclosure applications, enforcement and asset recovery
- Regulatory investigations and contentious tax information requests
Clients include insolvency practitioners, banks, financial institutions, directors, shareholders, large corporates and regulated service providers. Matters are international in scope and often require coordination with onshore counsel and global stakeholders.
The role also involves supporting corporate, funds and private capital teams on advisory aspects of transactional matters, contributing to business development initiatives and participating in know-how and training programmes within the disputes group.
Applications are invited from lawyers with:
- 5–7 years’ post-qualification experience in insolvency, commercial litigation and/or trust litigation gained within a recognised practice
- Strong academics
- Excellent technical ability with a commercial and pragmatic approach
- Clear written and oral communication skills
- Offshore experience desirable but not essential
This is a strong platform for a disputes lawyer seeking offshore exposure while remaining London-based, with genuine responsibility and direct client contact from the outset. Ideal for a lawyer seeking top-tier international exposure within a collaborative and forward-thinking offshore practice.
