The Opportunity:
Our Real Estate Disputes team advises on a wide range of contentious issues and has particular expertise in working with property investment companies and investment funds, commercial landlords, occupational tenants, commercial property developers, retailers, technology companies and banks on their property disputes. The team regularly advises on dilapidations, breach of covenant claims, contractual disputes including options and guarantees, service charge and rent review disputes, telecoms, development disputes, possession claims, rights of light, insolvency and property aspects of corporate restructurings.
The team are regularly quoted in the national and property trade press as the 'go to' for expert opinion on real estate dispute issues and high profile judgments.
The Real Estate Disputes team works very closely with Ashurst's leading Real Estate team, being a top tier practice. We are one of a handful of large global law firms for whom both real estate and litigation remains a key area of focus and of strategic importance.
We are seeking a talented Junior Associate / Solicitor to join our Real Estate Disputes team in London. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside leading practitioners on high - profile, complex property disputes for a diverse client base, including institutional landlords and investors, developers, corporates, major occupiers across retail, leisure and logistics, lenders, and public sector bodies.
About you:The successful candidate will have:
- Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with 6 month - 2 years' post-qualification experience in real estate disputes, gained at a leading law firm. We will also consider applications for those solicitors who are due to be newly qualified in March 2026/September 2026.
- Strong drafting and communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear and practical client friendly advice.
- Proactive, organised, and able to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Collaborative team player, committed to supporting colleagues and contributing to the success of the team.
- Client-focused, with a professional approach and a genuine interest in building client relationships.
