My client, a highly regarded Top 50 UK law firm, is seeking a Property Litigation Paralegal to join its London-based disputes team.
This role offers the opportunity to gain high-quality, hands on litigation experience in complex commercial property disputes and importantly, the role counts as Qualifying Work Experience (QWE).
This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious future solicitor who wants meaningful exposure to High Court litigation rather than purely administrative paralegal work.
The RoleThe position focuses primarily on commercial property litigation
, including:
- High-value High Court disputes (several ongoing actions involving multi-million pound claims)
- Adverse possession claims
- Lease interpretation disputes
- Commercial landlord and asset management disputes
Approximately two-thirds of the caseload involves acting for substantial commercial landlord clients.
The successful candidate will gain exposure to complex, strategically significant disputes from early stage through to resolution.
The TeamYou will work directly with a highly experienced, directory ranked Property Litigation Partner on matters he has personally originated and leads.
Unlike traditional paralegal structures, this role provides:
- Involvement in legal strategy and case development
- Drafting of letters, notices and (over time) witness statements
- Client interaction
- Liaison with Counsel
- Attendance at meetings (remote and in person)
- Limited bundling and disclosure, with far greater substantive involvement than typical paralegal roles
This role would suit someone who:
- Has a genuine interest in dispute resolution and property litigation
- Has passed the LPC (Commendation or Distinction) or SQE1 (ideally first attempt, strong performance)
- Has excellent academics (ideally from a leading university)
- Has at least 6 months’ relevant paralegal experience within Property Litigation
- Is detail-oriented, driven and intellectually curious
- Has strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to engage directly with clients and counsel
If you meet the above criteria and are seeking a genuinely substantive property litigation role that will accelerate your legal career, please get in touch for a confidential discussion.
