Supply Chain Manager (S&OP), INT Supply Chain Grocery Execution
Job : | Amazon EU SARL (UK Branch)
Amazon’s Supply Chain Managers play a central role in our global business. They keep our complex, international grocery and highly perishable supply chains working seamlessly and efficiently. As a Supply Chain Manager (SCM), you will work closely with multiple stakeholders across Amazon, from Operational teams who are fulfilling customer orders, to Retail teams and everything in between. You’ll help us optimize our supply chains to make our customer experience even better and our business more energy and cost efficient.
Keyjob responsibilities
- Define our Demand Planning strategy in 5 European countries (UK, IT, ES, DE, FR), across our Fresh Online and Amazon Now (Quick Commerce) Grocery banners.
- Analyse and interpret data to deeply understand regional customer demand patterns and improve demand planning accuracy, helping the business drive efficiency across our end-to-end supply chain (from Inbound to Customer Outbound).
- Partner with ground Operations, Last Mile Delivery and Business teams, incorporating their inputs into our forecasting routine.
- Align complex Demand Planning strategies with Snr Leadership and financial partners.
Being a Supply Chain Manager for Amazon involves lots of problem solving. You’ll work with a number of teams to navigate challenges as and when situations impact our network. You’ll spend time resolving temporary issues and looking at the bigger picture to drive Amazon towards achieving new objectives. This role is both proactive and reactive, and you’ll have the opportunity to shape demand planning strategies for our ever growing groceries business.
As a Supply Chain Manager leading our S&OP vertical, you’ll need to help with both tactical and strategic work. No two days will be the same. You might spend Monday modelling demand scenarios for a new Amazon Fresh dark store launch, and Tuesday partnering with Last Mile Ops to resolve a resource capacity gap impacting our customer delivery speeds, across three International regions.
Having so much variety in your role means you’ll be able to learn something new every day.
The INT Supply Chain Grocery Execution team breathes life into our newest ideas and incubates them until they grow into sophisticated businesses. We’ve got the energy of an exciting start-up, as our team works on Amazon’s next big project, under the umbrella of one of the world’s biggest companies.
We work behind the scenes to support new areas of the business - like Amazon Now (Quick Commerce) stores and our online grocery service. There are lots of opportunities for every skill set, from operations to supply chain to data management.
SC Execution's goal is to help develop new capabilities within Amazon on behalf of our customers. This entrepreneurial team has a deep understanding of the needs of our customers, employees and partners and helps to develop Amazon businesses of all sizes.
We grow new opportunities that will help Amazon diversify even more, taking them from concepts to mature operations that operate as standalone businesses. This dynamic environment supports our people’s growth and development.
