Job Description & How to Apply Below

We’re working in partnership with a rapidly growing UK renewable energy provider that is playing a key role in helping homeowners and businesses transition to cleaner, more efficient energy solutions. With deep expertise in solar technology and a strong commitment to sustainability, they deliver a seamless, end-to-end service - from initial consultation and tailored system design through to installation and ongoing support.

Job Summary:

We’re seeking a proactive and commercially minded Procurement & Supply Chain Manager to lead procurement and supply chain operations across the group.

Working closely with Sales, Operations, and Finance, you’ll take ownership of product strategy, inventory planning, and supplier partnerships. This is a high-impact role with strong growth potential, requiring the ability to manage procurement across three distinct legal entities, each with its own credit facilities and P&L.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead procurement across multiple entities, managing supplier strategy, pricing negotiations, credit terms, and commercial contracts to ensure favourable outcomes and mitigate risk.
  • Take ownership of product strategy, identifying opportunities to expand and enhance the product portfolio through supplier collaboration and market insight.
  • Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including inventory planning, supplier forecasting, warehousing, and regional distribution.
  • Proactively identify and manage supply chain risks, ensuring continuity of supply and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Utilise ERP data and sales forecasts to optimise stock levels, improve efficiency, and provide actionable insights to leadership.
  • Design and implement a group-wide purchase order process, ensuring a consistent, controlled, and auditable approach across all entities.
  • Act as the central point of control for all supplier ordering, ensuring compliance with agreed pricing, terms, and supplier frameworks.
  • Enforce procurement discipline across regional teams, eliminating non-compliant or ad-hoc purchasing and driving accountability.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, and Finance to align supply chain capabilities with business demand.
  • Support business growth initiatives, including acquisition integration and the development of supply chain infrastructure for new commercial opportunities (e.G. BESS, solar PV, heat pumps, EV infrastructure).

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in supply chain, procurement, or a commercially focused role involving supplier negotiation.
  • Demonstrated experience in contract management and commercial negotiations, with the ability to secure favourable terms.
  • Strong capability in managing complex supplier relationships, analysing data, and presenting clear, actionable insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Highly proactive and accountable, with a proven ability to take ownership of processes and drive standardisation across procurement functions.
