Hours:
37.0 hours per week, Monday to Sunday, between 12pm and 8pm. Saturday and Sunday will be required as per local rota.
You will be a Parcel Delivery Driver for Royal Mail, responsible for securely delivering all items on your route, including handling election materials and certain items such as food or alcohol in line with Royal Mail business standards. You will also prepare your van and workload for the day, use route‑planning technology tools, and act as a positive ambassador for Royal Mail.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver parcels and other items securely and on time across the assigned area.
- Prepare the van and plan the route each day using technology tools.
- Interact with customers courteously and provide excellent customer service.
- Handle election materials, food products, alcohol and other items safely according to company policies.
- Upbeat, self‑motivated and able to work independently.
- Organised, punctual with a strong initiative.
- Committed to the delivery of great customer service.
- Comfortable interacting with customers and acting as a positive ambassador.
- Happy to work in the afternoon and early evenings.
- Enjoy a multi‑drop driving role, delivering parcels across the week in the assigned area.
- Possess a full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
- A guaranteed hourly rate of £16.24p/h (paid monthly and adjusted to your working hours).
- 22.5 days holiday, rising with length of service (adjusted to your working hours if below 37 hours a week).
