Supply Chain and Distribution Coordinator

Location: London

Employer: fashion retailer

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced retail business with a strong presence across stores, wholesale and e-commerce. Based in London, the role sits within the supply chain and distribution team, supporting the smooth movement of products from international suppliers through to warehouses and ultimately to customers. The position offers exposure to a broad range of logistics and supply chain activities within a dynamic retail environment.

The successful candidate will support the head of supply chain and distribution in coordinating import and distribution operations, acting as a key point of contact for internal teams, suppliers and freight forwarders. Responsibilities include managing import shipments, obtaining freight quotations, monitoring deliveries, maintaining shipment tracking, ensuring customs compliance, resolving delivery issues, supporting store openings and closures, processing stock adjustments, handling carrier claims and helping to ensure products move efficiently through the supply chain.

To succeed in this role, candidates should have 2–3 years' experience within logistics or supply chain, ideally working with freight forwarders, along with a good understanding of HMRC import and export customs procedures. Strong Excel skills, excellent attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently, and confident communication and problem-solving skills are essential. A proactive attitude and the ability to build effective relationships across the business will also be key.

The role is based in London, and offers a salary of £31,000. In addition to the opportunity to develop within a busy retail supply chain environment, the position provides broad exposure across import, distribution and logistics operations, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further their career in supply chain management.
