Supply Chain Manager (Fulfilment), INT Supply Chain Grocery Execution

Job :  | Amazon EU SARL (UK Branch)

Amazon’s Supply Chain Managers play a central role in our global business. They keep our complex, international grocery and highly perishable supply chains working seamlessly and efficiently. As a Supply Chain Manager (SCM), you will work closely with multiple stakeholders across Amazon, from Operational teams who are fulfilling customer orders, to Retail teams and everything in between. You’ll help us optimize our supply chains to make our customer experience even better and our business more energy and cost efficient.

Key

job responsibilities
  • Define our Middle Mile Supply Chain (warehousing and transportation) strategy in 5 European countries (UK, IT, ES, DE, FR), across our Fresh Online, Sub-Same-Day and Amazon Now (Quick Commerce) Grocery banners.
  • Data Analysis & Supply Chain Modelling:
Analyse and interpret data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements across supply chains and multiple operations.
  • Define and refine supply chain and operating models for various business lines.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership & Operational Support:
Partner with Operations and Retail teams to advise on and manage fulfilment challenges, driving resolution and continuous improvement within warehouse environments.
  • Project Planning & Coordination:
Support the planning and organisation of complex, cross-functional projects that improve supply chain performance and operational outcomes.
A day in the life

Being a Supply Chain Manager for Amazon involves lots of problem solving. You’ll work with a number of teams to navigate challenges as and when situations impact our network. You’ll spend time resolving temporary issues and looking at the bigger picture to drive Amazon towards achieving new objectives. This role is both proactive and reactive, and you’ll have the opportunity to shape demand planning strategies for our ever growing groceries business.

As a Supply Chain Manager in the Middle Mile vertical, you’ll need to help with both tactical and strategic work. No two days will be the same. You might spend Monday modelling middle-mile physical space scenarios across one country to support new Amazon Same-Day site launches, and Tuesday partnering with Vendor Management teams to support the scoping of additional warehousing requirements for vendor shipments, for a different country.

Having so much variety in your role means you’ll be able to learn something new every day.

This role will be carried out from our corporate location in London (LHR
16 UK).
