Procurement Category Manager

A Leading Construction Contractor is looking for a Procurement Category Manager to join their team to work on a variety of different categories across the construction sector.

The main objective is the delivery of procurement strategies across a portfolio of direct construction categories.

You will be:

• Supplier relationship management activities across the supply chain.
• Work with the procurement team with spend data analysis, identifying opportunities for improvements.
• Monitor and improve rebates and compliance targets across the supply chain.
• Reviewing supplier performance, and where appropriate initiate performance improvement plans.
• Working closely with senior internal stakeholders to deliver procurement requirements.

You will be managing many different categories in order to give you as much experience and exposure to all areas of the business unit.

You will be working with senior internal stakeholder to help influence decisions on important supply chain decisions for large construction projects.

Dealing with a range of categories like; building envelope, MEP, steel structures, and internal fit out.

Candidate Requirements

You will have 5+ years construction experience working for any main contractor.

You will have strong supply chain management experience.

Our client is looking for someone who has worked in a big corporate PLC previously.
