About the role

As Supply Chain Manager will play a pivotal role in enabling successful work
winning and project delivery across Major Projects by leading strategic supply chain
engagement and market-facing activities. You will be working within a cross-functional
environment, the role ensures early alignment of supply chain capability with bid
objectives, client expectations, and commercial targets.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing robust supply chain strategies, securing early commitment from key partners, and shaping value-driven, compliant sourcing approaches that enhance competitiveness. Through proactive market engagement and strong supplier relationships, the Supply Chain Manager will ensure supply chain readiness, resilience, and mobilisation capability to support successful project outcomes

What you'll be doing
  • Lead supply chain strategy development for bids, ensuring alignment with win
    themes, client outcomes, delivery models, and commercial targets.
  • Develop and Lead a Strategic Supplier Relationship Management Programme
    including Strategic Work streams and Continuous Improvement Plans.
  • Facilitate and fully implement Supplier Performance Management within Major
    Projects via our Jaggaer e-Procurement system, ensuring the resolution of key
    improvement actions.
  • Drive early supply chain engagement and market intelligence, assessing
    capacity, capability, risk exposure and readiness across key sectors and
    upcoming work pipeline.
  • Build compelling supply chain contributions to PQQ and ITT responses,
    including partner value propositions, delivery models, innovation case studies,
    and demonstrable outcomes.
  • Facilitate Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) with key partners to optimise
    design, de-risk delivery, enhance buildability, and unlock innovation and value.
  • Define packaging strategy and supply chain architecture, ensuring optimal
    market approach, competitive tension, and alignment to project delivery
    strategy.
  • Secure robust supply chain input into pricing and solution development,
    supporting estimators with credible, market-tested assumptions across labour,
    plant, materials, and subcontracting.
  • Champion supply chain governance and risk management, ensuring
    compliance with internal standards while proactively managing supply chain
    risk, resilience, and performance.
  • Operate as a core member of project/bid leadership teams, integrating supply
    chain strategy with commercial, technical, and design solutions to strengthen
    overall competitiveness.
  • Provide clear reporting on supply chain readiness, risks, and opportunities,
    supporting Gate Reviews and senior governance with evidence-based insight.
  • Drive continuous improvement and market-facing best practice, contributing to
    knowledge sharing, lessons learned, and category/supply chain strategy
    development.
  • Ensure mobilisation readiness through early partner alignment, enabling
    seamless transition from bid to delivery and establishing strong foundations for
    project execution.
Who we're looking for

The following experience/qualifications are essential:

  • Relevant business degree or equivalent experience (e.g. MCIPS) (desired)
  • Experience in developing and delivering supply chain strategy
  • Pragmatic yet disciplined approach to process compliance
