About the role

The Supply Chain Profit Protection Analyst plays a critical role in protecting company assets, inventory, profitability, and brand reputation across the end‑to‑end supply chain. The role is responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with inventory management, logistics operations, distribution, transportation, third‑party service providers, and operational processes.

Combining data analytics, investigations, risk management, internal controls, and audit support, the role will drive initiatives that reduce losses, strengthen governance, support improving inventory accuracy, and enhance operational effectiveness.

A key focus of this position is the management and enhancement of the supply chain control environment, ensuring appropriate controls are embedded across business processes and that internal and external audit requirements are effectively supported.

Working closely with Supply Chain, Finance, Retail Operations, Procurement, Logistics, Internal Audit, and external partners, the successful candidate will contribute to a culture of accountability, compliance, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

As a Supply Chain Profit Protection Analyst you will Supply Chain Risk Management
  • Identify, assess, and monitor risks across 3PLs, transportation networks, inventory management activities, and third‑party contract manufacturing
  • Support the development and implementation of supply chain profit protection and risk mitigation strategies
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend practical control improvements
Inventory Integrity & Loss Prevention
  • Analyse inventory discrepancies, stock losses, damages, shrinkage trends, and operational exceptions across the supply chain
  • Support cycle count and stocktake programmes, ensuring audit compliance, accurate reporting and timely resolution of findings
  • Monitor inventory movements and transactional data to identify unusual activity and emerging risks
  • Partner with Inventory Control teams to improve inventory accuracy and strengthen stock management processes
Internal Controls & External Audit
  • Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of supply chain profit protection controls
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Conduct compliance testing to ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and governance requirements
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Finance, and operational stakeholders to embed effective controls within day‑to‑day processes
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audit activities relating to inventory management, logistics operations, asset protection, and supply chain risk
