Spare Parts Inventory Manager, Reliability Maintenance Engineering (Integrated Spare Parts team)

Job :  | Amazon UK Services Ltd.

Are you an expert in the dynamic field of inventory management? Amazon is seeking a passionate and experienced professional to take on the role of Spare Parts Inventory Manager. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the global strategy for spare parts inventory management within the Central Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) Integrated Spare Parts (ISP) team, with a specific focus on the logistics and carrier framework that makes the nodal network work.
This position goes beyond traditional inventory management. It requires an expert who can influence and transform how Amazon RME manages spare parts inventory on a global scale. You will not only oversee stock levels but also lead process improvement projects, such as enhancing parts traceability and optimizing inventory workflows to reduce waste and improve availability. The nodal model only delivers if parts move reliably between sites, which makes transportation a structural prerequisite rather than an afterthought.

In this role you will support the definition of the criteria used to select and evaluate logistics vendors, contribute to those evaluations, and help shape the service agreements that follow in collaboration with procurement teams.

Key job responsibilities
  • Drive initiatives to ensure the right spare parts are available at the right locations, minimizing costs while maximizing operational efficiency
  • Support the development and execution of the nodal spare parts strategy, defining how sites reallocate stock efficiently to reduce inventory holdings while improving parts availability
  • Support nodal cluster expansion activities, including site onboarding, launch readiness criteria, and defining operational standards for how nodes receive, store, pick, and ship inventory
  • Define the requirements for the carrier framework used to move spare parts across the nodal network, including the selection matrix, regional coverage, service modes, agreed service levels, and the scorecard used to manage carrier performance.
  • Define the standards for shipment execution, packaging, and inbound receipt so parts travel safely and are correctly recorded on arrival, and own the escalation path and the operating documentation that supports the field
  • Support initiatives to maintain and improve spare parts data integrity, ensuring accurate cataloging, sourcing attributes, and lifecycle information to enable effective purchasing and inventory decisions
  • Conduct data analysis and effectively interpret reports to identify opportunities, optimize processes, and implement changes
  • Lead and champion complex, cross-functional process improvement projects, deprecating redundant workflows and implementing best practices that improve the tracking, accuracy, and efficiency of spare parts management with global impact
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
  • Experience in program or project management
  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
  • Experience defining and executing program requirements
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree
  • Experience in driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Experience leading process improvements
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
