Are you an experienced procurement professional looking to take a more strategic role within a major rail organisation?

Salary: £55,596 - £67,813 + discretionary bonus and excellent benefits (DOE)
Location: London or Basingstoke, hybrid, 3 days per week in office.
I am recruiting for a Senior Procurement Manager to join Network Rail's Southern region during a significant period of change across the UK rail industry.

This is a senior procurement position with flexibility depending on your strengths and experience. You could be aligned to a business partnering function, including responsibility for managing and developing a small team, or take a more delivery-focused role leading major and complex procurement activity.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders, shaping procurement strategies and pipelines while providing expert commercial advice to ensure value for money and effective delivery.

  • Experience delivering high-value and complex procurements
  • Strong knowledge of public procurement regulations, particularly Utilities Regulations
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience influencing senior stakeholders
  • Ability to develop and implement procurement strategies rather than solely managing transactional buying activity
  • Experience working within a regulated environment
Desirable experience
  • Rail, utilities or major infrastructure experience
  • Previous people management or team development experience
  • Experience delivering complex frameworks and major project procurements
Package
  • 75% discounted rail travel

  • Hybrid working with 3 days per week in the office and no set office days
  • Strong training and career development opportunities
  • Clear potential for progression and succession
