The Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Workshop Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with hands‑on engineering experience who thrives in a collaborative workshop environment and is eager to contribute to innovative projects.
Key Duties- Confidently remove and install mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Fault find and repair low‑voltage PLC‑based control and safety systems.
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and deliveries to site as a second person.
- Wash, strip, prepare, paint, and reassemble equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop, yard, and building.
- Support general building maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with the stores person to organise stock and parts.
Monday to Friday, 8:00 – 17:00 (40 hours)
What We Need From You- A valid UK driving licence.
- Proven engineering experience across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Practical knowledge of PLC control systems.
- A hands‑on, proactive approach to workshop tasks.
- Willingness to travel to site using a pool vehicle when required.
- Must be commutable to Waltham Abbey.
- Holidays and Birthday Leave – Start with 23 days, increasing to 25 after 2 years of service, plus bank holidays. After one year, you can also take advantage of our holiday buy/sell scheme for added flexibility. Also, enjoy your special day off once you reach 1 year of service.
