Office Cleaning Operative

About The Role

This position requires a cleaner to maintain client premises, working Monday – Friday from 07:00 to 18:00 with a one‑hour unpaid break. Start and finish times are flexible to meet business needs.

Hourly Rate: £14.80

• Inducted at the start of the contract and trained within the first week to deliver the cleaning specification and use the equipment.
• Carry out all duties related to cleaning and waste collection within designated areas of the estate.
• Perform general cleaning duties (vacuuming, scrubbing, using other cleaning equipment) in accordance with manufacturer instructions, health and safety manuals, and COSHH sheets.
• Ensure a thorough understanding of site health and safety information, rules and regulations.
• Respond positively to reasonable instruction from a Manager and maintain a positive, friendly, can‑do attitude.
• Present a professional image and a friendly, helpful attitude to customers.
• Ensure safe completion of duties, adhere to health and safety legislation, and place warning signs where required.
• Complete company administration promptly and attend meetings or company activities as required.
• Keep company property safe and in good condition.
• Perform any other duty reasonably required by the company.
• Dedicate time to going the extra mile for Atlas clients and deliver a high standard of customer care.
• Work within a teamwork‑focused environment.

We are looking for individuals who are excited about making a difference, have a positive and friendly attitude, are local to the area, and bring at least one year of cleaning or janitorial experience. Candidates should be capable of handling the physical aspects of the role and possess basic spoken English for safety communication.

• Cleaning experience – 1 year (preferred)
• Janitorial experience – 1 year (preferred)
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the role.
• Basic spoken English communication skills.
• Right to work in the UK (evidence required).
• Basic DBS check required.
• Verification of employment history will be part of pre‑employment checks.
