Position: Repairs Inspector Apprentice )

Role Summary

Repairs Inspector Apprentice – Locations:
North‑West, North‑East & South London.

Start Date:

August 2026. 12‑month apprenticeship programme (plus 3‑month end‑point assessment).

As a Repairs Inspector Apprentice you will visit residents in their homes to check repair work, ensure it is completed safely and to a high standard, and support residents throughout the process. You will work directly with residents and contractors in the community to maintain and improve home safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect residents’ homes to verify repairs and assess quality.
  • Listen to and understand residents’ concerns, providing clear updates.
  • Collaborate with contractors to resolve issues promptly.
  • Make decisions that safeguard residents and ensure proper completion of work.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections and outcomes.
Training & Development
  • 4–6‑week induction covering role fundamentals.
  • Shadowing experienced inspectors during fieldwork.
  • Ongoing mentorship and support throughout the apprenticeship.
  • Gradual transition into a fully field‑based role.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Strong communication skills, confident speaking with residents in their homes.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a changing environment.
  • Problem‑solving ability and quick decision‑making.
  • Positive, team‑focused approach with a commitment to service excellence.
  • No prior experience required; the right attitude and enthusiasm are essential.
