Role Summary
Repairs Inspector Apprentice – Locations:
North‑West, North‑East & South London.
Start Date:
August 2026. 12‑month apprenticeship programme (plus 3‑month end‑point assessment).
As a Repairs Inspector Apprentice you will visit residents in their homes to check repair work, ensure it is completed safely and to a high standard, and support residents throughout the process. You will work directly with residents and contractors in the community to maintain and improve home safety.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect residents’ homes to verify repairs and assess quality.
- Listen to and understand residents’ concerns, providing clear updates.
- Collaborate with contractors to resolve issues promptly.
- Make decisions that safeguard residents and ensure proper completion of work.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and outcomes.
- 4–6‑week induction covering role fundamentals.
- Shadowing experienced inspectors during fieldwork.
- Ongoing mentorship and support throughout the apprenticeship.
- Gradual transition into a fully field‑based role.
- Strong communication skills, confident speaking with residents in their homes.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a changing environment.
- Problem‑solving ability and quick decision‑making.
- Positive, team‑focused approach with a commitment to service excellence.
- No prior experience required; the right attitude and enthusiasm are essential.
