About the role We are seeking Lightning Protection Technician’s to support operations on global projects. Reporting to the project manager & site supervisor the Lightning Protection Technician is responsible for the day‑to‑day planning, coordination and control of LPI projects. The purpose of the role is to install lightning protection and earthing systems on a variety of structures across all forms of private, public, industrial, commercial & Data Centre sectors.

What you’ll do

  • Install lightning protection and earthing systems on Data Centres and variety of tall structures. This will involve working to pre‑designed schemes including drawings, a risk assessment and method statement.
  • Undertake upgrades to existing lightning protection systems to specified instructions provided.
  • Accurately complete Company paperwork including point of work risk assessment, job sheets, marked up drawings, material schedules and timesheets and ensure this is returned to the office‑based team.
  • Provide onsite communications and advice to either the client or managers of a project, ensuring the Company is professionally represented at all times.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to health, safety and environmental standards at all times, ensuring all work is completed in a safe and compliant manner.

What you’ll need

  • Proven experience working within construction industry or in a similar environment
  • Electrical experience is advantageous but not essential
  • Experience working on commercial and industrial projects.
  • Excellent problem solving, communication and teamwork skills.
  • Good knowledge and commitment to health and safety standards and protocols and good knowledge EQHS Management System.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages such as German Dutch, French, or Spanish would be advantageous but not required.

  • Manual Handling training.
  • Working At Height training.
  • IPAF training.
