Escalator Engineer – Night Jobs in Greater London

Location:

Greater London (including Gatwick & Stansted rail stations).

Hours:

19:00 – 7:00, 4 on 4 off (12‑hour shifts with a 45‑minute unpaid break).

Salary:
Basic up to £75 k (depending on skills and experience) plus overtime, benefits and paid door‑to‑door.

As an Escalator Engineer you will maintain and repair high‑profile escalator systems across major rail and underground sites, ensuring safe, reliable operation in high‑profile, safety‑critical environments.

• Conduct maintenance, repairs and callouts on escalators and moving walkways from various manufacturers.
• Ensure high standards of service delivery, safety and customer care.
• Perform risk assessments and maintain site log cards for every visit.
• Work on specific equipment including KONE TM, RTV and RTK units, Schindler 9300 escalators, Anlev systems and Otis 506 NCE equipment.

• NVQ Level 3 in Escalator Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience working on escalators and moving walkways.
• Valid UK driving licence.
