Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent contract
Salary: (Apply online only) Per day
Working hours: 08:00 - 16:00

As Site Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the school remains a safe, secure, and well‑maintained environment for students, staff, and visitors. We are looking for a proactive and reliable individual who takes pride in their work, uses initiative, and can confidently manage the day-to‑day operation of a busy secondary school site.

You will be responsible for site security, health and safety compliance, routine maintenance, contractor management, and the general upkeep of the school's buildings and grounds. A hands‑on role that requires strong practical skills, excellent organisation, and a commitment to maintaining high standards across the school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Opening and securing the school site.
  • Carrying out general maintenance, repairs, and DIY tasks.
  • Monitoring the condition of buildings, grounds, and facilities.
  • Managing contractors and overseeing site works.
  • Conducting health and safety checks and maintaining compliance records.
  • Setting up facilities for exams, events, and school activities.
  • Responding to site‑related issues and emergencies as required.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Previous experience in a Site Supervisor, Caretaker, or Facilities role.
  • Strong maintenance and practical skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and site compliance.
  • The ability to work independently and prioritise workloads effectively.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and organisational skills.
  • A flexible, professional, and positive approach to work.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across the school community.
