We are seeking a reliable, proactive School Caretaker to join a welcoming, well-established school based in Swiss Cottage. This is a temporary-to-permanent position, ideal for someone practical, hands-on, and committed to maintaining a safe and positive environment for pupils and staff.

Key Responsibilities

Daily maintenance, repairs and general caretaking duties
Opening and closing the school (including alarm management)
Ensuring the site is clean, safe and well-presented
Supporting with health & safety compliance
Managing contractors onsite when required
Grounds maintenance and basic DIY tasks
Responding to ad-hoc facilities requests from staff

Requirements

Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
Previous experience in caretaking, facilities or maintenance
Good practical skills and a can-do attitude
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Reliable, organised and committed to safeguarding
