About The Role
At Packington Children’s Centre, we offer combined care and education places for children from babies to 5 year olds.
We are seeking a reliable, proactive and highly organised Premises Manager to take overall responsibility for the safety, security, maintenance and day-to-day operational management of Packington Children’s Centre building and grounds. This is a key role within the centre, ensuring that our facilities provide a safe, clean, welcoming and compliant environment for children, families, staff and visitors.
We are looking for someone who is flexible, sets high standards for themselves and takes pride in their work.
The successful candidate will work a split shift, (7:30am-11:30am and 3:30pm-6:30pm) where you will be responsible for opening and securing the site each day, carrying out routine maintenance, managing contractors, and ensuring all statutory health and safety requirements are met.
You will undertake maintenance and repairs to the premises within the scope of a competent handyperson and be responsible for maintaining constant awareness of the physical condition of the building, furniture and equipment and where appropriate repairing, reporting defects or requisitioning work for repair.
The ideal candidate needs to be able to:- Plan and organise workload across the site and to be able to work on their own initiative
- Working with people effectively and supervise cleaning staff and contractors
- Complete general maintenance and DIY to a high standard
- Be friendly and reliable
- Committed to maintaining the Centres premises and grounds to a high standard
You will be joining our dynamic Children’s Centre and be part of a diverse, supportive and experienced team working.
