Temporary Caretaker
- Housing Association

Location: London E14

Contract: Temporary
- Immediate start until 18 September

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm

Pay Rate: £14.25 per hour PAYE (including holiday pay)

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Caretaker to work for a housing association based in Tower Hamlets, East London
.

The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the residential building and its communal areas are clean, safe, secure and well maintained
. You will be the day-to-day presence on site, helping to provide a welcoming environment for residents and ensuring any issues are identified and reported promptly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out regular inspections of communal areas and the surrounding estate.
  • Ensure communal areas, entrances, corridors and stairwells are clean, tidy and presentable.
  • Report repairs, maintenance issues, health and safety concerns and any defects.
  • Assist with maintaining the security and general upkeep of the building.
  • Monitor communal areas and report any issues or incidents appropriately.
  • Liaise with residents in a professional and helpful manner.
  • Ensure waste and refuse areas are kept clean and well managed.
  • Carry out basic caretaking duties and minor tasks where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records and report any concerns to the relevant team.
  • Follow all relevant health and safety procedures.

  • Previous experience in a caretaker, estate services, housing or facilities role.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • A practical and hands-on approach.
  • Excellent timekeeping and reliability.

  • The ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • A professional and approachable manner when dealing with residents.
