Location: Greater London

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and industry-leading service provider that delivers engineering and maintenance services within critical healthcare environments. They are looking for an Electrical Supervisor to oversee a team of engineers while supporting the day-to-day delivery of electrical maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead a team of 7 to 8 electrical engineers.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities.
  • Ensure all electrical works are carried out safely and in compliance with statutory regulations, HTM guidance, and company procedures.
  • Provide technical support, guidance, and mentorship to engineering staff.
  • Carry out hands‑on electrical maintenance and repairs when required.
  • Allocate workloads and manage daily priorities to ensure service delivery targets are achieved.
  • Conduct quality inspections and audits of completed works.
  • Manage permits to work and ensure safe systems of work are followed at all times.
  • Support the management of subcontractors and specialist service providers.
  • Complete and maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for service improvements and energy efficiency initiatives.
  • Participate in the on‑call rota (1 in 3 / 1 in 4 weeks) and provide emergency support when required.
  • Recognised electrical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or team leader role.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical building services maintenance.
  • Experience working within a critical or highly regulated environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Good understanding of health and safety legislation and safe working practices.
  • Previous experience working within a healthcare or NHS environment.
  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
  • City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification.
  • Knowledge of HTM (Health Technical Memoranda) standards.
  • Experience using CAFM systems and maintenance management software.
