Cleaner in Nursing Home

Location: Greater London

Purpose of the Role

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and conscientious Domestic Cleaner to join our team and help maintain a clean, safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for everyone living in our home.

The successful candidate will take pride in their work and play an important role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation throughout the home.

Key Responsibilities

As a Domestic Cleaner, your responsibilities will include:

* Cleaning all designated areas of the home to a consistently high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.

* Ensuring bathrooms, shower rooms and toilets are thoroughly cleaned and maintained throughout each shift.

* Maintaining residents’ bedrooms to a high standard, including making beds and changing bed linen as required.

* Keeping kitchen areas clean, hygienic and well presented in accordance with appropriate hygiene standards.

* Reporting any damage, defects or maintenance issues relating to furniture, fixtures and fittings to the Senior Domestic or senior member of staff on duty.

* Safely operating cleaning and polishing equipment and machinery, following all relevant instructions and health and safety procedures.

* Reporting any faults or defects with cleaning equipment promptly to the Senior Domestic or senior member of staff on duty.

* Ensuring cleaning equipment and storage areas are kept clean, organised, safe and tidy.

* Using cleaning products and equipment responsibly and in accordance with relevant health and safety and COSHH requirements.

* Carrying out additional cleaning duties as reasonably required to support the smooth running of the home.

* Working positively and respectfully as part of the wider staff team.

* Attending relevant training sessions, staff meetings and other meetings as required.

* Contributing to a safe, comfortable and homely environment for residents, colleagues and visitors.
